It was a beautiful late summer day when Cathy and Hao got married at Lake Lanier's Oliver Pointe. The weather was so perfect that it was hard to believe that just a week prior to the wedding, Hurricane Irma had hit Georgia and the ceremony arch was actually totally damaged by the tree that came down with the strong wind.
The Tuesday before the wedding, I got a call from Lake Lanier informing me that the ceremony arch was damaged but that it will be fixed on time for the Saturday wedding. To save Cathy from worrying about the construction of a new arch the week of her wedding, I decided to inform her only on Friday afternoon as we were on the way to the rehearsal that there will actually be a brand new arch for her!
Here is the beautiful arch all decorated for her wedding day by our talented florist:
And here is Cathy with her two pretty bridesmaids who were dressed in soft pink:
The blush pink/peach bridal bouquet included some lavenders that Cathy loves:
Although Hurricane Irma also affected the original flowers shipment that our Florist had ordered (and he ended up having to drive to Charlotte, NC to pick up some flowers), everything turned out beautiful:
Here is a look at the happy couple:
Cathy also changed to a custom made Qi Pao for the reception at the one and only Venetian Pier:
Cathy and Hao were a really sweet couple and I am truly grateful that they had chosen me to be their wedding planner. In 4 short months, we put together a wedding with the best vendor team I have. A special thanks to the hard working vendors:
